British commercial vehicle maker LDV is back. LDV was a prominent name in van making before becoming bankrupt in 2009. The good news is that a $2.2 billion investment from Chinese firm SAIC Maxus has put LDV Vans back on the market. Four new LDV van models will launch in the UK and Ireland soon.
Whether you already own one and need van insurance, have recently bought one or are thinking about it, Maxus LDV vans are seen to be stylish, comfortable and practical.
Plenty to choose from
With different models to meet different requirements, there’s probably a Maxus to meet your needs. The MAXUS 3.5T van boasts bigger side and rear door widths than comparable Ford Transit, Vauxhall Movano, Renault Master and Iveco Daily vans. The MAXUS van range has a choice of three roof heights, two wheelbase lengths and three vehicle weights from 2.8 to 3.5 tonnes.
If you have a few workmates to ferry about, the MAXUS Crew Van offers the better of two worlds – it combines the load carrying functionality of a van, with the people carrying comfort of a Minibus.
There’s no need to compromise on performance either. MAXUS LDV vans have efficient direct injection, turbocharged, intercooled engines, with high torque at low engine speeds.
Good fuel economy, fast repair times and lower parts costs, lead some experts to suggest that a MAXUS LDV is cheaper to run than a Ford Transit, Iveco Daily or a Mercedes Sprinter.
The MAXUS van cab is both stylish and functional. Numerous features included as standard, help ensure your driving time is a pleasure not a chore. MP3 radio/CD player, electric windows, height rise driver’s seat, electrically adjustable and heated mirrors and PAS are all fitted as standard. The following safety features are included too: driver's airbag, ABS and EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution).
